This was simply the best day I have spent abroad..The tour was recommended by our daughter and it did not disappoint! Mike's knowledge of the city and its history was perfect. So is his humour (for an antipodean anyway)After hours of non-stop information, every previous snippet of information that I had picked up about twentieth century history in Germany finally fell into place and made the final few days of our holiday more enjoyable. Enjoyed it so much we did another tour. Great job!!!!

This tour was not only moving but very informative.The tour was made for us by our guide Chris whose knowledge and the manner in which he passed on his knowledge made the tour enjoyable which otherwise could have been very depressing.We were very lucky and honoured to actually listen to a Norwegian gentleman who had been detained in the camp during the war. We will definitely use INSIDER TOURS next time we are in Berlin and hope to meet CHRIS again, once again thank you.

Having done the Famous Insider Walk with Pen on 4th April 2008, I and my brother decided to do the Sachsenhausen tour with her on 6th April. Once again she was a master of her subject, and was a delight to talk with. There was a bitterly cold wind blowing but Pen was ever mindful of her charges. She is an outstanding tour leader and a great ambassador for Oz. This tour was equally as good as the Famous Walk. I hope Pen now has her new kitchen!

My brother and I joined the Famous Insider Walk tour of Berlin led by Pen. Her sparkling personality, enthusiasm, depth and breadth of knowledge of her subject (and many others) provided the best tour I have been part of. She was so good that my brother and I, on hearing that she was to lead the Sachsenhausen tour two days later, decided to do this tour also.

My daughter and I throughly enjoyed and were inspired to learn more about Berlin after an outstanding tour with Pen. She is pleasant, funny, and encouraging of questions. Looking forward to the Insider walking tour to begin in Frankfurt. Next time in Germany will take another Insider tour in Berlin too!

I ended up with Insider tours by accident. It was pouring down raining, the tour group I planned to tour with was no where to be found but Insider Tour guides were everywhere happily helping people out in the bad conditions.
Chris, The Crazy German, is an amazing guide. Incredibly knowledgeable and nice. Imagine my surprise when I got to take the Third Reich tour with him the next day. He really is amazing and has a great sense of humor. I was really spoiled by him because my tour guides in Munich weren't half as entertaining as he was.

Great tour, great guide Kenny wove a tale of Berlin History using the buildings as props to his story. If his novel is as entertaining as the tour he will end up on the best sellers list.

Pen is an amazing otur guide and she really knows what she is talking about. Joining her on two tours (camp and walking tour Sunday PM) really made my time in Berlin all the better. Pen is an amazing tour guide and a real asset to the company. I iwll definately recommend the tours to others because of the wonderful tour guide Pen.

What a way to spend my 40th birthday! Mike had tonnes of passion and enthusiasm ... why weren't my teachers like this at school, I might have been more interested :-) Now I am home I feel the need to read more about Berlin's/Germany's history. I did the trip with Pen to Sachsenhausen and the Third Reich tour with Mike. These were two of the most amazing tour guides I have ever had the pleasure of sharing time with. Only thing is I wanted to give them a tip but didn't know if it would be ok. Think it would be useful to mention to the group if it's ok.

6. Insider's Potsdam
Potsdam is listed as a World Heritage site by the UN and it is no small wonder. Not only is Potsdam incredibly picturesque with many palaces, lakes, manicured gardens, statues and water fountains dotted over hundreds of green acres but it is brimming with an equally fascinating history.
